2. Confirmation of Minutes of the 2022 AGM
Motion: To confirm the Minutes of the 2022 Annual General Meeting as a true and accurate record of its proceedings.

3.    Receive the 2023 Annual Report

7. Review and Set Subscription Rates for 2024/25
That the Full Member fees remain as they are, comprising a combination of base fee and population fee. The Additional Member ($0) and Associate Member ($75) fees to remain at 2018/19 levels.

8.Update to the Public Libraries of New Zealand Vision Statement.
Motion: This motion is to update the current vision statement in the constitution and throughout PLNZ documentation:
Current Clause:
2.1  The vision of the association shall be that all New Zealanders have equitable access to public libraries to enhance their communities.
Proposed Change:
2.1  The vision of the association shall be that all New Zealanders have equitable access to public libraries to enhance the wellbeing of their communities.

Reason for Change:
To better align the vision of PLNZ with the purpose of local government as determined by the Local Government (Community Well-being) Amendment Act 2019.

9. Add an additional Regional Representative for Auckland to the Public Libraries of New Zealand Executive Board.
Motion: Motion is to add an additional Regional Representative for Auckland to the Executive Board effectively allowing Far North/Auckland to become 2 seats on the Executive Committee.
Current Clause:
5.2 There shall be one elected representative from each of the six regions for a term of three years from the date of their election. The regions are as follows:
  • Auckland and Northland
  • Waikato and Bay of Plenty
  • Central North Island
  • Wellington, Wairarapa and Chatham Islands
  • Upper South Island
  • Lower South Island

Proposed Change:
5.2 There shall be one elected representative from each of the seven regions for a term of three years from the date of their election. The regions are as follows:

Northland
• Auckland
• Waikato and Bay of Plenty
• Central North Island
• Wellington, Wairarapa and Chatham Islands
• Upper South Island
• Lower South Island

Reason for Change:
Proposed change to include separate representation for Auckland on the executive committee due to the size of the Auckland Council in proportion to other local authorities in New Zealand.

10.  Acceptance of Constitutional Changes (13 Minor constitutional changes)
Motion: The motion is to adopt the updated Constitution to establish consistency throughout the document.
