Public Libraries of New Zealand is bringing the National Forum to
Tūranga & Te Ara Ātea, Christchurch,17-18 August 2022
Registration is now CLOSED Overview Mastering change through challenging times is not new for public library managers. This year’s Forum navigates our biggest challenges with meaning, purpose, and skill. The sessions draw on reflections from guest speakers and our own members’ experiences. We have ensured plenty of time for networking and introduced a pre-Forum workshop on Data Literacy Workshop to assist us in the way we collect, report and turn statistics into stories. We have also attracted some new partners and familiar faces who support the Forum through their generosity. By introducing the fresh, illuminating insights and innovations we can reimagine and rebuild our future, often stronger than before. Libraries in Transition is an opportunity to think deeply about times of change and how to transform them into periods of creativity and growth. The National Forum is PLNZ’s signature event. It brings together public library professionals and suppliers from all aspects of library management. The two-day programme offers peer-to-peer sessions, in conversations, presentations, and forward-looking insights. It will also see the return of the ever-popular Regional Rep stan-up Reports this year looking at innovations and insights from around the country. This year Te Ara Ātea is our feature library, allowing us all to explore their new facility on the afternoon of Wednesday 17th August followed by a Celebration Dinner and an "evening at the library'. |
