Vacancies

Thinking of a career move? Can’t make up your mind if you want to leave your current position? Here are some things to consider when applying for a new job.

  1. Is there a vision for the library? Are the aims and objectives a fit for your values and your career aspirations?
  2. What is the Council’s Long Term Plan or Short Term Strategies? What could you contribute that would assist your library to advance the Council’s ambitions.
  3. What are the house or rental processes and availability?
  4. Is the remuneration a step up or step down? If down, what could be other benefits?
  5. If you are invited to an interview, think of yourself as an interviewer, too. Ask questions that ensure it is the job you want.

Good luck with it all.
